Step-by-Step Brewing Guide
1. Prepare Your V60
Place your paper filter inside the V60 and rinse thoroughly with hot water.
This removes any potential paper taste while preheating your brewing equipment.
Discard the rinse water before adding your coffee.
2. Grind Your Coffee
Weigh 15g of Vibrance and grind to a medium-fine consistency, similar to fine table salt.
An even grind helps achieve a balanced extraction, allowing the coffee's natural sweetness and delicate floral notes to shine.
3. The Bloom — 0:00–0:40
Start your timer and gently pour 45g of water over the coffee, ensuring all the grounds are evenly saturated.
Allow the coffee to bloom for approximately 40 seconds.
This initial stage releases trapped gases and prepares the coffee for an even extraction.
4. First Pour — 0:40–1:10
Slowly pour in gentle circular movements until the scale reaches 150g.
Keep the water flow controlled, avoiding excessive agitation.
This stage helps develop the blueberry sweetness and juicy character of Vibrance.
5. Final Pour — 1:10–1:40
Continue pouring until you reach a total of 250g.
Allow the water to draw down naturally through the coffee bed.
Aim for a total brewing time between 2 minutes 30 seconds and 3 minutes.
6. Serve and Discover
Gently swirl your brewed coffee before serving.
Take your first sip while warm, then allow the coffee to cool slightly.
As the temperature changes, you may notice different aspects of Vibrance revealing themselves.
What to Expect in the Cup
Blueberry — Juicy Sweetness
A rounded, fruit-forward sweetness gives Vibrance its inviting character.
Hibiscus — Floral Elegance
Delicate floral notes bring brightness and refinement, adding another dimension to the cup.
Cherry Cola — A Playful Finish
A combination of sweet cherry-like fruitiness and lively acidity creates a distinctive, refreshing impression.
Together, these characteristics make Vibrance an expressive coffee with both depth and elegance.
Fine-Tuning Your Brew
If your coffee tastes too sharp or sour:
Try grinding slightly finer or increasing the water temperature by 1–2°C to encourage greater extraction.
If your coffee tastes too bitter or dry:
Grind slightly coarser or reduce the water temperature.
If you want greater sweetness:
Focus on an even extraction, a consistent pouring technique and allowing the coffee to cool before evaluating its flavour.
Small adjustments can make a remarkable difference.
